Workshop: Making Test Items Accessible for Students who are Blind or Visually Impaired

Purpose of Workshop:
The focus of the workshop will be issues, guidelines, and resources relevant to "Making Test Items Accessible for Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired." Topics to be addressed include guidelines for designing tactile graphics, large print, computer-based and audio versions of test items, and needed accommodations. Participants will practice editing test items, and have opportunities for discussing questions and touring APH.
What Will Be Provided:
Workshop materials, meals, and local transportation on workshop days
Who Should Attend?
Assessment team members such as test publishers, item developers and reviewers, state and local assessment personnel, school psychologists, and anyone involved in the provision of tests in accessible media.
Fee?
There is a $25.00 workshop fee made payable to APH. You may request a fee waiver, if needed.
