Thought to be the first model made by this manufacturer, this compact portable braille writer is capable of interlining. The keys travel from right to left along a reglette attached to a wooden base. The base can be moved along an accompanying wooden board onto which 10 x 13 1/2 inch paper is clamped. The wooden board is hinged and folds for easy storage. A metal plate on the board reads "The Stainsby-Wayne Braille-Writer."
